Happy New Year!!!!

As I start my post, I have to laugh!   I see that my last post, as well as so many others from the past,  started with "I can't believe it's been XX since I last posted".  Now here I am nearly 2 months later starting to say the same thing!   This blogging things seems to be quite the challenge for me!  LOL
When I started it up again, it was because after selling my business a year ago,  I was finally feeling like I had the time to commit to it... How quickly things can change!!!  The selling of the business turned into a Train Wreck!   It's a very long story, but over the last few months I've been helping the family that bought it try to bring it back to life. With my regular part time job, helping with the flower shop, and running my Kimber K Creations business,  I've been busier than ever!   BUT!  I have been crafting :)   and crafting and crafting and crafting!   I was so busy filling orders over Christmas that I barely had time to breath!  let alone blog!!   LOL... but here I am :)  Finally making time.   Thank you to those that are hanging in there with me :)

So, is it too late to share Christmas?  I hope not, because I am doin it!!!!
I LOVE decorating my house for the seasons.  Christmas time just makes me so happy... I love the twinkling lights, the red, the silver.... it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside!    So without further ado.... Here is the Kinion House for Christmas, 2013 <3
Here is my Christmas Tree.   I was late getting it up this year!  Usually I like to have it up the weekend after Thanksgiving, but this year I wasn't able to get it up until December 11th!  And the only reason that I got it done then was because I woke up one morning at 4:30 and thought... well,  this is a great time to decorate the tree!
My Precious Moments Nativity and the "Oh Holy Night" sign I made.
My door shelf <3  Love love decorating this for the seasons :)   This year It was perfect for this little Snoman themed tree and my lighted snowmen.  No, I didn't leave that random candy cane hanging there!   LOL

I've had these guys for about 15 years and I still love them :)   The countdown to Christmas sign is one I made for my craft fair season... I decided I really  needed to keep one for myself :)

A close up of the little snowman tree :)

This is an old window and shelf that hangs over our couch.  I also love decorating this for the different seasons and holidays.   Those ornaments are Dollar Tree ornaments that I decorated with white vinyl.   Found the idea on pinterest and loved it so much I had to recreate it.

Close up... So stinkin cute!!

The top of our entertainment center... Yes, we still have one!  LOL... I think we may be one of the only families I know that don't yet have a flat screen.  I'm kinda cheap like that :)   LOL

These are my Believe blocks that I finally got finished for myself this year!   I've been meaning to make these for at least 2 years!

this is the shelf we built last spring to go above our French Doors.  Another web find.  I'll post the link a little later.  I love love love how this turned out.   You can see a better picture of it in the living room picture below.

Even the guest bath gets "Christmafied"  :)   There's more..... but I can't find the pictures!

This was my table set up for our Christmas Buffet.  We don't do a big Christmas dinner, but instead have a big celebration Christmas Eve and we do lots of hour devours and snacks.

All ready for our Christmas Eve celebration.  :)  My favorite time of year!!!!

Our Hot Cocoa bar... with Homemade Peppermint Marshmallows that I meant to post about on my blog but didn't get around to :(

SNOW!!!!!  We got snow!!!  Not exactly on Christmas, but on December 8th and Thank goodness we had our lights up and the house was decorated inside!   I got to enjoy Christmas lights on snow for the first time in my life, I think :)   We get snow every so often, but it's rare we get more than a skiff and NEVER on Christmas!!!   It was wonderful :)

Well that's my tour :)   I hope everyone had a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!  and Wishing everyone a blessed NEW YEAR!!!!

Christmas Countdown Board

Happy Wednesday, Friends!

Wow!  November 6th!!   It's been 2 1/2 weeks since I've posted!
Getting back into blogging has proven to be a little harder than I expected.   Trying to make sure that I have something to post worth reading, (and if we're being honest, we know it's more about SEEING :) ),  is hard to do!   But I'm determined!  I will master this!  :)

After I posted all my Halloween goodies and decor, I got stuck.   Why?  Oh, I was crafting my little heart out, but it wasn't Halloween or Fall, it was Christmas!   And it just didn't seem right to post pictures of Christmas stuff in the middle of celebrating Halloween......   I had a little craft bazaar on November 2nd, so I'd spent the better part of the last 3 weeks designing and creating Christmas signs.   I think it's OK to share Christmas now, right?  :)

My first share will be my Christmas Countdown board.  I'm so excited to share it!!!   I just LOVE how this turned out :)   and I'm also so proud of myself that I actually got it done it time to use it!!!  LOL   My usual MO is that I will have all these great ideas and intentions and then not get it done in time to really enjoy it for the season it was intended.   So Yay, Me!  LOL  I was finally on the ball!

If you missed my Halloween Countdown Board, you can see it Here .   It wasn't my original idea, but I did change it up to make it my own... I loved it SO much that I decided I needed a Christmas Countdown Board, too!   So I got to work designing it... and after hours of agonizing over the wording and fonts, this is what I came up with.........
TA DA!!!!!
I Just LOVE IT!!!
I'm not entirely sure where I'm going to put it yet... whether it will be used outside on my porch like the Halloween Countdown, or maybe I'll find a fun place for it inside... not sure yet!  but I can't wait to display it for Christmas :)
I used my Silhouette Cameo and different colors of outdoor vinyl.  Chalkboard vinyl for the "tags". ( I had contemplated creating real tags to hang and switch out.... and I may still do that.... but for now this will do. )  I hung real little "Jingle bells" from  a jute bow for a fun little touch, but now that I look at it again, I think they need to be a little bigger.  I'll have to take care of that later.

Hope you love it as much as I do!   :)

That's all for today, now this chicky needs to get ready for work!
have a great hump day!

Spooky "Spirits"

Hi Friends!
So....I don't know about you, but for every season and/or Holiday, there are 2 "Must Haves"  for this 40 something kid at heart....  a cute coffee mug and a cute wine glass!   :)  There is just something about drinking my morning coffee from a seasonal coffee mug and having a glass of wine from a fun glass that makes me happy!   LOL...  I made myself a fun wine glass for summer time, and I have some beautiful Christmas wine glasses that I bring out every year, but I didn't have a cute wine glass for Halloween.....  Silhouette to the rescue!!  :)    Let's take a look!
This was my first one!   I kinda lifted this idea from a pinterest post I came across.. of course I always change things up a bit to make it my own.. I don't like to be a TOTAL copycat... but ya know... sometimes you just need a little looky loo to get your brain goin'.   I loved it... but something just didn't seem quite right... I think it just wasn't "bright" enough.... so although happy... I wasn't totally satisfied.

I thought about it for a day or so... and when I say "I thought about it" what I really mean is that I obsessed  about it nonstop until I finally came up with a new idea!  LOL... (Oh, Come on... I know I'm not the ONLY one out there like that!   :)   )     Anyhoo...  one night I  had posted some of my Halloween decor on my facebook page and one of my friends called me a "Crafty Witch".    I " LOL'd"  and told her "Yes, I'd been gettin my Witch on all day"  and  POW! it hit me!   I sprinted  came up to my craft room and got right to work... and this is what I came up with  :)

At first I thought I'd do "Getting My Witch On"... but then I came up with this  Feelin Witchy and I was happy :)   So happy in fact, that I had to try it out :)

This isn't the greatest picture, but the back says "Good Witch"  "Bad Witch".  I was feeling a little in between :)

And because NO wine glass is complete without a  cute charm or two.. These are some charms I bought at a craft fair last year.  Love them!

So this is how I'll enjoy a little Halloween "Spirits"

Happy Hauntings!

Halloween Countdown Board

Good Morning, Friends!    Today  is a really quick post to share this SO SUPER CUTE Halloween countdown board I made for my front porch.  :)    I told ya I was on a crafty roll this last weekend!

I used my Silhouette Cameo and a cut file that was shared in Silhouette group I belong to, and then changed it up to make it my own by using other cute cuts I own.
I will tell you that there is a similar file for purchase on Etsy if you're interested in creating one of your own.  :)

The board is 12x23" and I just LOVE it!!!   I opted to just "lean" mine against my twiggy porch basket rather than hang it up.  I really love the look right now of the subway art boards just sitting against something on my porch. :)   I'm gonna have a hard time putting this away after Halloween,  LOL , which means I will soon be busy making another "Fall/Thanksgiving" piece to replace this one.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any project pictures, but if you have any questions I'd be happy to share how it was made.

Have a Happy Tuesday :)
