Happy New Year!!!!

As I start my post, I have to laugh!   I see that my last post, as well as so many others from the past,  started with "I can't believe it's been XX since I last posted".  Now here I am nearly 2 months later starting to say the same thing!   This blogging things seems to be quite the challenge for me!  LOL
When I started it up again, it was because after selling my business a year ago,  I was finally feeling like I had the time to commit to it... How quickly things can change!!!  The selling of the business turned into a Train Wreck!   It's a very long story, but over the last few months I've been helping the family that bought it try to bring it back to life. With my regular part time job, helping with the flower shop, and running my Kimber K Creations business,  I've been busier than ever!   BUT!  I have been crafting :)   and crafting and crafting and crafting!   I was so busy filling orders over Christmas that I barely had time to breath!  let alone blog!!   LOL... but here I am :)  Finally making time.   Thank you to those that are hanging in there with me :)

So, is it too late to share Christmas?  I hope not, because I am doin it!!!!
I LOVE decorating my house for the seasons.  Christmas time just makes me so happy... I love the twinkling lights, the red, the silver.... it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside!    So without further ado.... Here is the Kinion House for Christmas, 2013 <3
Here is my Christmas Tree.   I was late getting it up this year!  Usually I like to have it up the weekend after Thanksgiving, but this year I wasn't able to get it up until December 11th!  And the only reason that I got it done then was because I woke up one morning at 4:30 and thought... well,  this is a great time to decorate the tree!
My Precious Moments Nativity and the "Oh Holy Night" sign I made.
My door shelf <3  Love love decorating this for the seasons :)   This year It was perfect for this little Snoman themed tree and my lighted snowmen.  No, I didn't leave that random candy cane hanging there!   LOL

I've had these guys for about 15 years and I still love them :)   The countdown to Christmas sign is one I made for my craft fair season... I decided I really  needed to keep one for myself :)

A close up of the little snowman tree :)

This is an old window and shelf that hangs over our couch.  I also love decorating this for the different seasons and holidays.   Those ornaments are Dollar Tree ornaments that I decorated with white vinyl.   Found the idea on pinterest and loved it so much I had to recreate it.

Close up... So stinkin cute!!

The top of our entertainment center... Yes, we still have one!  LOL... I think we may be one of the only families I know that don't yet have a flat screen.  I'm kinda cheap like that :)   LOL

These are my Believe blocks that I finally got finished for myself this year!   I've been meaning to make these for at least 2 years!

this is the shelf we built last spring to go above our French Doors.  Another web find.  I'll post the link a little later.  I love love love how this turned out.   You can see a better picture of it in the living room picture below.

Even the guest bath gets "Christmafied"  :)   There's more..... but I can't find the pictures!

This was my table set up for our Christmas Buffet.  We don't do a big Christmas dinner, but instead have a big celebration Christmas Eve and we do lots of hour devours and snacks.

All ready for our Christmas Eve celebration.  :)  My favorite time of year!!!!

Our Hot Cocoa bar... with Homemade Peppermint Marshmallows that I meant to post about on my blog but didn't get around to :(

SNOW!!!!!  We got snow!!!  Not exactly on Christmas, but on December 8th and Thank goodness we had our lights up and the house was decorated inside!   I got to enjoy Christmas lights on snow for the first time in my life, I think :)   We get snow every so often, but it's rare we get more than a skiff and NEVER on Christmas!!!   It was wonderful :)

Well that's my tour :)   I hope everyone had a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!  and Wishing everyone a blessed NEW YEAR!!!!

HeLLoo!

Well,  Hello there, Long Lost Friends!..... If there's still anyone left out there that remained a follower of this blog after 2 long years.... I know!  2 years!  (but I will explain)  I've been wanting to revive my blog for quite some time... I pondered over just starting a new one or reviving this one, and after checking into the hits, I realized that it does still get visits, so why not just bring it back to life.  So here I am!!!  :)

Now to explain my absence.....   a little over 2 years ago, my whole world crashed with some personal family issues.... I held it together for a few months, and then in November 2011, I just broke.    For about 8 months my whole life was consumed and I just didn't have the emotional energy for anything else.  It was all I could do to run my business and function, let alone find time to craft and certainly not keep up a blog.  (Maybe someday I'll talk about it, but for now we'll just keep this blog about fun, happy things. )
When things finally came back around, I just didn't know how to start again.... it had been sooooo long!!!    I logged in a couple of times to try.... but for some reason it just wouldn't come.   I'd think..."I'll think about it for a few days and try again."  but then time would slip away and before I knew it, another 3 months had gone by... and so on and so on..

But!  Here I am now!!!  and Life is once again wonderful  :)  Many things have changed in my life.  I sold my business, which means I have more time for ME!!   My crafting Mojo has returned!  My decorating Mojo is back in full obsession and I'm READY TO BLOG ABOUT IT!    Maybe it's because it's fall, my FAVORITE season for decorating!!!  ;)   I've been pulling out the Halloween decorations the last week or so and today is the day to really get to it!  I'm late!!! :)    I'll start with a couple of pics of things I've done and then (insert Arnold accent here)  "I'll be back!!"

Here's my "Mantle", which isn't really a "Mantle" but a shelf that my wonderful Hubby and I built last spring to go over the French Doors.  I love how it turned out and couldn't wait to decorate it with all my Halloween Goodies!!!   It's was really  hard to get a good picture since all I had available at the time was my cell phone and the lighting was just horrible.   I think I may make some changes now that I see the pic... I'll post if I do :)
Here are my Halloween "Funkins" that I decorated.  Yes, I see that I dotted the "n" in our name instead of the "i",  LOL.... I fixed it but haven't taken a new pic yet.  The decals are cut with my Silhouette Cameo and glitter vinyl.   I love how they turned out!

Thanks for hangin' with me, if you're still here.  <3  I'll be back later with a fun new Halloween Porch!

My Halloween Tree

Hi!  Thanks for stopping by today!
I am Sooooooo excited to share my little Halloween Tree!   I just love how cute it turned out! It's a little busy.... But I still love it!

I actually wanted to make one like this last year, but because of some time constraints and elusive supplies (clear glass ornaments~Glow in the dark glitter)  the one I ended up making was not NEARLY as cute as I'd planned.  Plus, I SCORED big time on this little tree at JoAnn's!  30% off already, plus another 20% off entire purchase coupon!  Yay Mee!!!!!   I wish it was a little taller... but I still love it!

So, I started with my glitter ornaments.  You can find tutorials online for this, but if you have any questions I'd be glad to help.
They are really easy to make and they're so much prettier than the pictures show.

I used my Cricut , black vinyl and the October 31st and Happy Hauntings Carts  (Love that spooky font.) to cut out the words and spiders.  I tried a few other little things like ghosts such, but they didn't want to form around the curve of the ornament very well so I just stuck with the words and spiders.  I think that's enough anyway, don't you?

Look how Stinkin Cute!!!  I just love them!  I think this little spooky green one is my favorite...

Or maybe these are my favorites .. Love them!

I used Martha Stewart glow in the dark glitter for the white ones.  Let me tell ya....I looked all over for this stuff last year and I could not find it ANYWHERE!  I don't live close to any major craft store chain, so I am always a step behind,  :(  Something good comes out and by the time I get to the store, it's always gone!   Anyway, I found it this year... so I bought 2! ~ I'm not gonna take THAT chance again...Phew!!
**  (Like I'm ever gonna need THAT much Glow in the Dark glitter??? ) **

Lovin the spooky little graveyard scene... whhhoooooooo

Wonder what happened to that guy?

Beware Of The Black widow!!!
Are you a little scared?

I copied the idea for using this tray from my friend Amy... HI AMY!!!  :)    (This girl is seriously creative and she NEEDS to have a blog so she can share her talents.  :)

So that's my Spooky little Halloween Tree.  If you have one, leave a comment with a link to your blog so we can see.  :)

Thanks for visiting today~

Graduation gifts

Hi All... welcome back!
I promised (like 2 weeks ago, already, Jeesh!) that I had some graduation projects that I'd been working on.
Time get's away from me so quickly!   I've had a gazillion things going on at the shop so it's kept me tied up :)

Here are a couple of fun and easy projects I made for Graduation gifts.  I love how they turned out.. So simple, useful, practical, yet fun for the kids.
I know, I know... time to take down the "Spring" decor!!  I haven't had time!!!  LOL
These are just simple Wipe boards that I picked up at Wal Mart.  I used my Cricut to cut the vinyl lettering and adhere tot he board.  It really is a simple project.  The hard part was just trying to figure out what to put on the boards :)
I thought I had pictures of a couple more that I  made with girl's names and flowers on them.... but I can't find the pictures on my camera...... STRANGE!  because I was CERTAIN that I took pictures!  If/when I find them I will post them.    I used a couple of different carts here... "Stamping" for the Take Note board, and I believe I got the word princess from the Car Decals cart.  I used Alphalicious to create the "Quite a lot" phrase and welded the letters together on my Gypsy.   I thought they turned out cute!
The Girls' name boards are even cuter because I used pink and black vinyl, layered... they were so cute!!!

Have a Great Day, everyone!
Thanks for visiting!  Now I'm off to deliver a wedding.. and some party flowers!  Busy Saturday!
See you soon!
