Disassembled!

That's how I'm feeling, LOL... I'm in the process of moving my craft space from one room to another.  WHO KNEW there was sooooo much stuff in there!!
I thought I had a pretty organized space... Everything had a place... and most things were in their place.  Although, I do have to say that every single nook, cranny, drawer and corner and even the closet was FULL!!!  so moving it has turned into a much bigger chore than I thought...  Here is a peak at my "Old" space.

My youngest kiddo leaves for college this fall. When his sister and brother left a few years back, he took over the "play room" as his bedroom... it's a large room that was the kids' tv/playroom.  It was much, much too big for a teenage boy to use for a room... and it doesn't have a closet, so needless to say it was a hazard zone 99% of the time....   I've spared you pictures of THAT.... you'll have to use your imagination!!  :)

Now, I'm takin' it back!    I will be moving my business home in a few weeks and I'll need more space for my "office".  Plus,  I have some really cool hutches in my shop that I'm bringin'  home!  I can't wait!  I've got big plans for them!!
Soooooo we went from THAT organized space above, to this:

We each had to move our little "stuff" to a staging area in another room while we swapped the big things:  Bed, craft table, sewing table, etc....  It is an absolute MESS!  I can't wait to be through with this!

And This:
He left behind a LOT of his clothes and blankets and "stuff" on the couches ..... MESS! MESS! MESS!!!!
I sincerely thought we could have this done in a day..... NOT!

So stay tuned for a new and updated craft space in the next couple of weeks!
I'm sooooo excited to decorate my new space!  :)

Thanks for lookin!   And I'll be back soon with updates.

Sparklin' up the front door

Ok... First off, I am SO excited! 5 new followers in the last 2 days!!  And  Thank You!!  to those of you who left comments about the barn door.  Loved, Loved, Loved having all those comments!  You've helped me (almost) decide that it's going by the front door.
I'm going to set it up, decorate it and ponder it for a while :)  I don't want to commit to drilling holes in the wall to hold it up until I am ABSOLUTELY certain that is where it will stay.
Stay tuned!!!  I am working on some decorations for it and will post very soon!

In the meantime..... Here is a fun share :)

So, I kinda missed the boat on the 4th of July decor... but I had this idea for a fun, Patriotic door wreath and I just HAD to make it!  I figured the 4th of July comes just, well, 4 days into the month...So  I can leave this up for ALL of july, right?
I absolutely LOVE how this turned out!!  The idea for the firecrackers came from seeing all the wonderful decor ideas out there.  When I was trying to think of an idea for a door wreath, I thought it would be cute to have firecrackers on it!   Of course wooden ones would be too heavy, so I just decorated tp and paper towel rolls :)   Worked like a charm!
I then stuffed the centers with centers with paper and hot glued it in there so I'd have something to adhere my "sparklers" to.   I used tulle, sparkly pipe cleaners and paper shred to decorate the tops. I decorated the tubes pretty simple... I may go back and add some stars... not sure.  I'll have to think about it for a while.... don't want it to look too busy.
I Hot glued the first one onto the wreath and then Hot glued the other two on at different angles.  This worked best to actually hang the wreath as I glued them on so I could see exactly how they would be situated.

I am so tickled with how they turned out!!!   I think I might make another set for inside to decorate the door shelf :)
I used a tutorial I found online for the pinwheels... Love them!!  :)

The USA stars were cut using my Cricut. Stars were from the Stamping Solutions cart and the letters were from Alphalicious.

So there we have it...All sparkled up for JULY!

Now I'm off to do some more decorating and cooking!
Thanks for looking today!

Opinions, Please... pretty please :)

I love old stuff!
Since I was a little girl, I've always been intrigued by "old" things.  There is something about finding an old treasure.... and wondering "Where have you been?, What's your history?"
We once lived in an old old farmhouse for a few years when we first moved to Oregon. It had an old shed out back that had many old treasures in it; tools, crocks, etc.  I can't really remember all of the things in there, but if my memory serves me right, I believe it even had an old pot bellied wood stove out there.. or some sort of stove.   I'm sure it was a workshop of some sort... but I turned it into my playhouse :)  I loved pretending it was a cabin like Laura Ingles lived in!  :) ... ahhhh memories :)
Anyhoosh... I still adore old things.. Problem is, I never seem to have a solid clear vision of what I'm going to do with them when I find them!  (Much to the dismay of my Hunny!)
I have my own little corner of the garage with my "Stuff"... old windows, old shutters, you know, TREASURES!  I always tell him that "Some Day" when I have time... I'm going to do something with them!  :)  Today!  I have time.

I found this old door on a trip to Montana to visit my grandparents several years ago.  I just HAD to have it!! (among other things... but we don't need to go into that right now :)   Hunny just sighs, knowing it might be YEARS before I get around to doing anything with my "Stuff".  ( Hey... I've been busy raising kids, working and running my booty off for sporting events..  it's hard to get around to thing.. ya know :)
So for the last few years I've been trying to decide WHAT I wanted to do with it.. Then yesterday, I seen it~!
I was driving through a neighborhood where someone had atatched an old barn door to the side of their front door...making it look as though it was an open and thus exposing the front door (picture an open screen door)   it was ADORABLE!  Wish I wold have taken a picture!   They had it decorated with a wreath.  So cute~!
Anyhoosh.. it got my wheels turning.. I got MY old door out  today and started experimenting... Hunny said OK!  Yayyyyyy (he doesn't always see my "visions"  :)
So help me decide:  Where do YOU think it looks best?

Front Porch:.... I love it... but I don't... does it look funny because the front door is "fancy"?

By the Arbor?   Which side?

This is on the side of the house.  I like it here... but it would only be seen if someone visited the side yard.
I just can't make a decision!   I'd love your opinions!
I know I only have a few followers so far, but I'll be linking this post up to some link parties.  If you're visiting from there, I'd love it if you'd become a follower and leave me a comment :)

Thanks for visiting!
